Literature

Whispers of the Abyss

Will be out of beta reading soon. There is a panel with some of them on the 23rd that will go over their opinions and feedback. I anticipate it to be scathing, but this is why you get your stuff beta-read! Once its out of beta reading, I will go through another round of editing, than find an editor to look it over. It likely won't be the same person that did Champion of Seasons, but only because this is a different genre.

Quantum Songstress

I have decided to finish the drafting of it this month! By end of it the month, estimated to be about 50,000 words, will be out of drafting and in its first round of editing.

COS Sequal

Will start drafting once Quantum Songstress is out of drafting. Still debating a title and theme.

Prove Yourself

At the moment I have paused its development to make a map editor. I think it would make it easier for me to create the dungeons and worlds. The plan is that it would just create the files telling the game how to render the tiles of the map itself. It won't do anything else, like enemy AI and whatnot.

Dragon Tour

It's in another phase of edits. Mostly look over the subtitles generated by KDenlive to make sure they line up with what I say. Important as there are things I say, like Dinrael, Thyphlo, Kakariko, and others, that are not dictionary terms, and as a result confuse the speech recognition algorithm. After that will be cutting the footage further. It's still almost 5 hours of video. Bleh.

How does my Echo take my voice and do what I tell it?

A series of articles I want to do on this blog. At the book launch, someone asked this during the conversations. Multiple people tried to answer this, myself included, giving the classic big-picture explanation. The problem was that she wanted something far more granular, like going into how the voice gets made into electricity and how it's interpreted as machine code and then chopped into packets and... I think you get the idea. Also, this level of granularity needs to be explained in layman's terms.

Daunting, yes! Doesn't mean I'm not going to try.
