Hello Dreamers
I hate July.
The problem I have with it is that it's a very emotional month for me. My birthday is on the 8th. My father's death day is on the 16th. My mother's birthday is on the 29th. So it's a roller coaster of a month that got to me so badly that I booked most of the month off when I used to have a day job.
My birthday this year was quiet. Mom made me a meal of eggplant lasagna and almond flour cake. Then I snuck some pizza and dessert food late at night in a pizza oven. I ate most of it and left what I couldn't eat outside for the raccoons to dine on. Couldn't leave it in the house. Judge me how you like, but those cinnamon pull-aparts from Papa John's are just to die for!
As for today, Mom and I went to the gravesite in Etobicoke. Fitting that there was 125mm of rain in the GTA at the time. Poetic to find my father's plaque on the ground near ones completely submerged. Once the visit was over we ate at a nearby Swiss Chalet and went home, where I numbed myself with a bit of booze - about 3 shots worth. Then I opened Kdentlive and made some silly-buggers. The end-product is below.
The AI art that is the thumbnail of this post is inspired by Eithinoha, a psychpomp within Iroquois tradition. She leaves footprints behind for the newly dead to follow into the afterlife. My father has family that are Mohawk - one of the tribes that make up the Iroquois Confederation.
So, on a happier note, I made absolute bollocks. It was an idea I had for a while since a certain cutscene in a certain game played out. Yes, it's meant to be stupid lurking in the bowels of YouTube. Only warning is it has TOTK spoilers. Have at thee!
I read this last night, but I was watching the 2021 series of the Stand by Steve King. Your AI is just amazing. I watched the video. Was that a Genie? As always very fun to read your updates, and you made me think about pizza. Anxiety 1 day at a time. We do the best we can. I made myself a desk and put a printer and MacBook on it. I need 1 place to get organized 😩 I set things down on surfaces so I can instantly lose them and spend time trying to remember where I put it. I had my ex-girlfriend and my daughter using their forms of organizing, and I'm still finding things. Info dump my…
